Fish oils protect the heart from the effects of stress - A small-scale study mentions that fish oil can protect the heart from the effects of mental stress.

The study conducted by experts rather than Michigan Technological University, New York Medical College, and the Mayo Clinic. They said that fish oil supplements are a potent balance heart rate and activity of the nervous system around the organs.

"Stress can affect anyone and is bad for the heart. However these impacts can be reduced by the effect of fish oil on the heart," says researcher Jason Carter, as quoted by the Huffington Post.

A total of 67 respondents were included in this study. They all do not have high blood pressure and asked to consume nine grams of fish oil supplements for eight weeks.

Before and after the study, respondents checked arrhythmias. The result, researchers found that respondents who consumed fish oil has proven heart rate condition and function of the nervous system is more stable.

Previously there was a study that supports this research. Mentioned in the Journal of Leukocyte Biology that omega-3 fatty acids (usually contained in fish oil) is able to strengthen the immune system. So that the body was not susceptible to disease.

The results then reported in the American Journal of Physiology: Regulatory, Integrative, and Comparative Physiology.
